Agreements, affidavits and rent deeds in India are often printed on e-stamp or non-judicial stamp paper, where the top part of the first page is already printed with the stamp details. Your typed document must start below that space. This tool takes your PDF and places every page below a blank header, so it prints in the right place.

Header space

Choose a blank header of 3.5 inches or 4 inches, the two common heights of the printed area on e-stamp paper. Measure your stamp paper with a ruler if you are not sure: from the top edge to where your text may begin.

Paper size

Choose A4, or Legal for the longer paper often used for legal documents in India. If needed, your pages are scaled down evenly to fit the space below the header, so nothing is cut and the text keeps its proportions.

Quality stays sharp

The content of your pages stays as real text and lines, not pictures, so it prints sharp. Form fields in the PDF are filled in as normal text first. Comments and links are not carried over, which does not matter for printing.

Check with a test print

Before printing on the real stamp paper, print one page on plain paper, hold it against the stamp paper and check that the text starts below the printed area. Make sure the printer is set to actual size, not fit to page.

Only the first page?

The header space is added to every page. If only the first sheet is stamp paper and the rest are plain, split the PDF, format only the first page here, print the rest normally, and keep the pages in order.

Preparing your document

Type the agreement in Word or Google Docs with normal margins, save it as PDF, and then format it here. Do not add blank lines at the top yourself; the tool adds the header space. Number the pages afterwards if the agreement has several pages.

After printing on the stamp paper, both parties and witnesses sign by hand in the usual places. Rules for stamp duty and registration differ by state, so check them with the stamp vendor or a lawyer.
