Resize photos

Resize many photos by %, exact pixels or social media sizes.

Change photo dimensions in bulk. Choose a percentage, exact width and height, or a ready social media size.

Change the size of photos

This tool changes the width and height of photos in pixels. Use it when a website asks for a photo of an exact size, when you want a smaller photo for WhatsApp or email, or when a social media post needs a particular shape. You can resize one photo or many at once; several photos download together as a ZIP.

Three ways to resize

Percentage makes the photo smaller or larger by a share of its size, for example 50 percent makes a 4000×3000 photo 2000×1500. Exact size lets you type the width and height in pixels. Social media size gives ready sizes such as Instagram 1:1 (1080×1080), Instagram 4:5 (1080×1350), Story or Reel (1080×1920), YouTube thumbnail (1280×720), Facebook post (1200×630), Facebook cover (851×315), X post (1600×900), LinkedIn post (1200×627), WhatsApp DP (500×500) and Full HD (1920×1080).

Keeping the shape right

With exact size, keep the proportion switch on to stop faces and text from being stretched; type only the width and the height follows. When a size has a different shape from the photo, choose Fill and crop to fill the whole frame by trimming the edges, or Fit inside with background to show the whole photo with plain bands at the sides.

Size in pixels is not size in KB

Pixels decide how big the picture is on screen. KB decides how heavy the file is. A smaller pixel size usually means fewer KB, but if a form gives a KB limit, use the photo compressor after resizing, or use the exam photo tool, which does both for common forms.

Common uses

Shrink camera photos before sending them by email, make a profile picture for WhatsApp, prepare product photos of the same size for an online shop, create a YouTube thumbnail, or make a set of photos the same width for a website.

Tips

Making a small photo much bigger with this tool does not add detail; it only stretches the pixels. To enlarge a small photo with better sharpness, use the AI enlarge tool. Choose Same as original for format unless a website asks for JPG or PNG.

An example

Suppose a website asks for a photo exactly 300 pixels wide and 400 pixels tall. Choose Exact size, turn off Keep proportion, type 300 and 400, and choose Fill and crop so the face fills the frame without stretching. Download the result and, if the website also gives a KB limit, open it in the photo compressor.

Private by design

Your photos are processed inside your own browser. They are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
