Turn an Excel sheet into a PDF
This tool converts an Excel workbook in .xlsx format into a PDF without Microsoft Excel. It is useful for sharing price lists, mark lists, attendance sheets, stock lists, expense records and simple reports with people who do not have Excel, or for printing a sheet neatly.
What is converted
The values in the cells are read and laid out as a clean table, one sheet after another, with the name of each sheet as a heading. Rows and columns that are completely empty are skipped, so the PDF contains only the data. Numbers are aligned to the right like in Excel.
What is not kept
Cell colours, borders, charts, pictures, formulas and merged-cell layouts are not kept; only the values that the cells show are converted. The pages of the PDF are saved as pictures, so the text cannot be selected or searched. Check the PDF before sending, especially for wide sheets.
Landscape or portrait
Landscape is chosen by default because most sheets are wider than they are tall. Choose portrait for narrow lists with few columns. Pick A4, US Letter or Legal as the paper size. Very wide sheets with many columns may have small text; consider hiding or deleting columns you do not need before converting.
Old .xls files
Only the newer .xlsx format is supported. Open an old .xls file in Excel, WPS Office or Google Sheets and save or download it as .xlsx first. Password-protected workbooks must be saved without a password.
Bills and invoices
If you are making a bill, the GST invoice tool creates a proper invoice PDF with totals, tax and a UPI QR, which looks better than a converted sheet.
Common uses
Share a price list with customers, send marks or attendance to parents, print a stock list, attach expenses to an email, or keep a monthly record in a format that cannot be changed by mistake.
Tips for a neat result
Keep one table per sheet with headings in the first row. Delete or move notes that sit far away from the table, because they add extra empty columns. If a sheet is only for calculations, move it out of the workbook before converting so the PDF has only the sheets people need to read.
Formulas
Cells with formulas are converted with the value they show, so totals and calculations appear correctly. Open and save the file in Excel or Google Sheets first if the values look old.
Before you send
Open the PDF and check that every column is visible and the numbers are readable. Keep the Excel file for future changes.
Private by design
Your file is processed inside your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
