Self attest PDF
Add a self-attested mark, date and typed signature.
Also called: self attested PDF, swa-pramanit.
Self-attest documents for applications without printing and scanning.
Self-attest a PDF
Many applications in India ask for self-attested copies of documents such as marksheets, certificates, ID proofs and caste or income certificates. Self-attesting means you sign the copy yourself and confirm that it is a true copy of your original. This tool adds the attestation words, your name, the date and a signature to the pages of a PDF, so you do not need to print, sign and scan again.
What is added
In the bottom-right corner of each chosen page, the tool places the attestation text, which is "Self Attested" by default, a line with your name and the date, and your signature typed in a handwriting-style font. The date box starts with today's date in day-month-year form; change it if the form asks for a different date.
Change the wording
Some forms ask for different words, such as "Certified true copy" or "True copy". Type the exact words the form asks for in the attestation text box, up to 100 characters.
Choose pages
Type all to attest every page, or type page numbers such as 1, 3-4 to attest only some pages. For a two-sided ID, attest both pages.
Typed signature or real one?
The typed signature works for most online forms that ask for self-attested uploads. If an office wants your real handwritten signature, use the fill and sign tool to draw it or add a photo of it, along with the attestation text.
Before you upload
Open the PDF and check that the mark does not cover important details such as a photo, a roll number or a stamp in the corner. If a form has a file size limit, use the PDF compressor after attesting. To put several attested documents into one file, use the merge tool.
Common uses
Upload self-attested marksheets for admission, attach attested ID proof to a job application, send attested certificates for a scholarship, or submit attested address proof to a bank.
What self-attestation means
By self-attesting, you declare that the copy is a true copy of your original document. Do it only for your own genuine documents. Offices may still ask to see the original during verification, so keep it ready.
An example
For a college admission form that asks for self-attested marksheets, merge the 10th and 12th marksheets into one PDF, attest all pages here, compress to the size limit, and upload.
Size of the mark
The attestation block is sized to fit in the corner of each page and stays readable on both A4 and smaller pages.
Private by design
Your file is processed inside your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. For private documents such as ID cards, this matters more than anything else.
