Self attest image

Add an attestation, date and signature to a photo or scan.

Self-attest a photo or scan of a document in a few seconds.

Self-attest a photo or scan

Some forms ask you to upload a self-attested copy as an image, not a PDF. This tool takes a photo or scan of your document and adds a clean attestation strip below it with the attestation words, your name, the date and your signature. The document itself is not covered, so every detail on it stays readable.

What the strip contains

The strip is added under the picture on a white background. It shows the attestation text in bold, which is "Self Attested" by default, then Name and Date lines, and your signature typed in a handwriting-style font with the word Signature below it. The text size follows the width of your photo so it stays readable.

Change the details

Type the exact attestation words a form asks for, such as "True copy", up to 100 characters. The date box starts with today's date; type a different date if the form asks for one.

Size limits on forms

Adding the strip makes the picture a little taller and the file slightly larger. If the form gives a KB limit, open the result in the photo compressor, or use the exam photo tool for common exam sizes.

Hide what is not needed

If the document shows numbers you do not need to share, hide them first with the hide part of photo tool, then attest the result.

PDF instead?

If the form accepts a PDF, or you have several pages, use the self attest PDF tool, which places the attestation on the pages themselves. To join attested images into one PDF, use the JPG to PDF tool.

Common uses

Upload self-attested marksheets, caste and income certificates, ID cards, address proofs or photographs to admission, scholarship, recruitment and government service portals that accept only images.

What self-attestation means

By self-attesting, you declare that the copy is a true copy of your original document. Do it only for your own genuine documents, and keep the original ready, because offices may ask to see it during verification.

Getting a clear picture first

Take the photo in daylight with the document flat, or use the scan to PDF tool and convert the page to JPG. A sharp, straight picture makes the attested copy look neat and is less likely to be rejected.

Hindi details

You can type your name and the attestation text in Hindi or English. Check the preview once to make sure every letter appears correctly before uploading, and keep the result together with your other application files.

Private by design

Your file is processed inside your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit. For private documents such as ID cards, this matters more than anything else.
