Enhance photo

One-click fix for light, colour, noise and sharpness.

Improve light, colour and sharpness of a photo automatically, with careful limits so it still looks natural.

Make dull photos look better

This tool improves photos that came out dark, dull, grainy or soft. With one button it balances the light and colour, reduces grain and makes edges crisper. It is useful for phone photos taken indoors or at night, product photos for an online shop, old scanned photos, and documents photographed in poor light.

What each setting does

Auto fix light and colour stretches the brightness so dark photos become clearer and washed-out photos get proper contrast, and it gently corrects the colour balance. Noise reduction, from 0 to 3, smooths the grainy dots of low-light photos while keeping edges. Sharpness makes outlines and text crisper; too much can create halos, so increase it slowly. Colour boost lifts dull colours more than colours that are already strong, so the photo looks livelier without becoming loud.

Start with the defaults

The default settings suit most photos. Compare the before and after preview. If the photo looks too smooth, lower noise reduction; if it looks too harsh, lower sharpness. For documents, a little more sharpness helps text stand out.

What it cannot do

Enhancing cannot recover detail that the camera never captured. A badly blurred or tiny photo will look better but not perfectly sharp. To make a small photo larger with more detail, use the AI enlarge tool. To crop, rotate or apply filters, use the photo editor.

Common uses

Brighten a dark birthday photo, make a product look fresh for a shop listing, improve a selfie for a profile, rescue a grainy night photo, or make an old photo scan look cleaner before printing.

Saving the result

Choose Same as original to keep the file type, or JPG for a smaller file and PNG for the highest quality. Large photos are processed at full size up to a safe limit for phones, and the size of the result is shown after processing.

Tips for better results

Enhance the photo before resizing or compressing it, so the tool has the most detail to work with. For people, keep sharpness moderate so skin does not look rough. For documents, use the photo editor's Document B&W filter after enhancing if you want a pure black and white page. If a photo is both small and dull, enhance it first and then enlarge it with the AI tool.

When to use other tools

If the photo is sideways or needs cropping, use the photo editor. If the background is messy, remove it with the background tool. If a website needs a small file, finish with the photo compressor.
