Convert photos

Change JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and iPhone HEIC photos in bulk.

Change photo formats in bulk, including iPhone HEIC photos that many websites do not accept.

Change the format of photos

This tool changes photos from one file type to another: JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. Use it when a website accepts only JPG, when you need a PNG for a logo or a picture with transparency, or when you want modern WebP or AVIF files that are much smaller for websites. You can convert many photos at once; they download together as a ZIP.

Which format to choose

JPG is accepted everywhere and is the safest choice for forms, email and printing. PNG keeps every pixel and supports transparency, so it suits logos, screenshots and cut-outs, but files are larger. WebP gives small files with good quality and is supported by all modern browsers. AVIF gives the smallest files of all, but some older apps and websites cannot open it, and some browsers cannot save AVIF; if yours cannot, the tool tells you, and WebP is the best choice instead.

iPhone HEIC photos

Photos taken on iPhones are often saved as HEIC, which many websites and Windows computers cannot open. Add the HEIC photos here and convert them to JPG to use them anywhere.

Quality setting

For JPG, WebP and AVIF, the quality slider balances size and sharpness. Around 85 to 92 percent looks the same as the original for most photos while keeping files smaller. PNG has no quality setting because it does not lose detail.

Transparency

When a transparent PNG is converted to JPG, the transparent parts become white, because JPG cannot store transparency. Choose PNG, WebP or AVIF to keep a transparent background. Very large photos are reduced to a safe size for phones, and the tool tells you when this happens.

Common uses

Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG for a form, turn PNG screenshots into small JPG files for email, make WebP images for a faster website, or convert a set of product photos to one format.

Format, not size

Converting changes the type of file, not the width and height of the picture. If you also need a smaller pixel size, use the resize tool, and for a KB limit use the photo compressor. Converting a JPG to PNG does not improve its quality; it only makes the file larger, because the detail lost in the JPG cannot come back.

Names of the files

Converted photos keep their original names with the new extension, so you can match each one with its source. With several photos, all of them come inside one ZIP.

Which one for forms?

Government and exam websites usually ask for JPG or JPEG, which are the same format. When a form does not say, JPG is the safest choice.

Private by design

Your photos are processed inside your own browser. They are never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
