Compress photos

Shrink many photos at once with a KB target or quality. No limits.

Also called: photo size reducer, image KB reducer.

Make photos small enough for forms, websites and messages. Set a KB target or a quality level. Many photos are saved together in one ZIP.

Reduce photo size in KB

This tool makes photos smaller in KB without changing what they show. Use it when an application form asks for a photo of 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB, when a website upload is too slow, when WhatsApp or email shrinks your pictures badly, or when your phone storage is full of large camera photos. It works with JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC photos, and you can compress one photo or a whole batch at once.

Compress a photo to 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB

Choose "By target size" and type the number of KB you need. PDFPixo searches for the best quality that stays under that size, so the photo stays as clear as possible. If the photo is very large, also set a maximum width or height, because a 4000-pixel photo cannot look good at 20 KB, while the same photo reduced to 600 pixels can. For exam forms that also fix the exact pixel size, the exam photo resizer is the better choice because it sets pixels and KB together.

Compress by quality

If there is no KB limit, choose "By quality" and move the slider. Around 75 percent is a good balance: the file becomes much smaller and the difference is hard to see. Lower values save more space but may show blocky patches in skies and faces. You can keep the original format or convert to JPG or WebP at the same time; WebP usually gives the smallest file for websites.

Many photos at once

Select dozens of photos together. Every photo is compressed with the same settings and all of them come back in one ZIP file, with names based on the originals. The tool shows how much space was saved in total. If any photo is already smaller than the result would be, the original is kept so nothing gets bigger.

Large phone photos

Modern phones take photos of 12, 48 or even 200 megapixels. Phones and older computers cannot process images of unlimited size, so very large photos are first reduced to a safe size and the tool tells you when this happens. For forms and messages this is never a problem, because those need much smaller pictures anyway.

Private by design

Photos are compressed inside your browser. Your personal pictures, ID photos and documents are never uploaded, and nothing is stored after you close the page. There is no sign-up and no limit on the number of photos.
