Split PDF
Extract ranges or separate every page into a ZIP.
Also called: separate PDF pages, PDF cutter.
Pick the pages you need, split by ranges, or separate every page. Several files come together in one ZIP.
Split a PDF into parts
This tool cuts one PDF into smaller PDFs. Use it to take out just the pages a form asks for, separate a long scanned file into individual documents, send one chapter of a book, or break a big file into parts that are small enough to upload or email. The original file is never changed; you get new files.
Three ways to split
Each page separately makes one PDF for every page, which is handy for scanned stacks where every page is a different document. Page ranges lets you type exactly what you want, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10; each range becomes its own PDF. Every N pages splits the file into equal parts, for example every 2 pages for front-and-back ID scans or every 10 pages for long reports.
How to type page ranges
Use a dash for a range and a comma between parts: 1-3 means pages 1, 2 and 3; 1-3, 7 gives two files, one with pages 1 to 3 and one with page 7. Page numbers count from the first page of the PDF, not the numbers printed on the pages. If a range is outside the document, the tool tells you instead of making an empty file.
Quality stays the same
Pages are copied exactly, so text stays selectable, links keep working and pictures keep their quality. When several files are made, they come together in one ZIP, named with the page numbers so you can find them easily.
Split, then compress
A split part of a large scanned PDF can still be heavy. If a form has a size limit, open the part you need in the PDF compressor and type the KB limit. To remove or reorder pages instead of making separate files, use the organise tool.
Common uses
Students separate one marksheet or certificate from a combined scan to upload it in the right box of an admission form. Offices send only the relevant pages of a long agreement. Accountants split a yearly bank statement into months. Teachers break a question bank into chapters for different classes.
If something goes wrong
If you see a message about page numbers, check that every range is inside the document, for example a 10-page PDF cannot have 12-15. Use only numbers, dashes and commas. If the PDF is locked with a password, unlock it first. Very large scanned files may take a little longer on older phones; keep the page open until the download appears.
Private by design
Your PDF is processed inside your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the page. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
